MILESTONE SESSION PREP GUIDE

Scheduling-
After you book your session, I will put you on the calendar for the month that your baby turns 6 months old. We can either pick a date at

that time or I will message you about 1 month prior to pick a date and time. When picking a time make sure to think about your baby’s
nap schedule and when they are the happiest. For 6-month sessions I also recommend that we wait a week or two past 6 months if your
baby is not sitting unassisted yet. When they able to sit unassisted, they give better expressions as they are not focusing as much on trying to sit.

Parents & Siblings-
Please limit the number of people that attend the session to 2 adults only, no siblings please. This session can take up to 1 hour and my
studio is small, space is limited, and it is very warm. It gets warm, please dress accordingly, possibly layers. There is a bathroom at my
studio, and I also have small snacks, waters, and a Keurig to make coffee.

Feeding-
If baby will be due to eat towards the beginning of your session, please try to feed before you arrive.

If you are breastfeeding, please be aware of what you are eating - please avoid spicy foods or any foods that can cause gas for you at least 24 hours before session start time.
If you are bottle feeding or pumping, please make sure you have extra bottles as your baby may need to be fed or topped off during the
session. We want a happy baby.

Pacifier-
If your baby uses a pacifier, please make sure you bring it to the session. Pacifiers help to soothe baby if they get fussy.

Session Outfits-
You have full access to outfits and headbands in my ever-growing collection are suggested for use for this session, but the goal of this session is to capture your baby’s personality and facial expressions (which are amazing at this age) not their outfit. If you wish to use an outfit that you have, please consult with me before the session. I will NOT photograph baby in outfits brought the day of unless we have planned to incorporate it prior to the session. I will send you a questionnaire with link to all of the outfits in the collection by size.

Babies Clothing-
Please dress baby in button or zip up pajamas -NO outfits please. Please only ONE layer (no onesie under the pajamas). NO socks. And

please do NOT dress baby in anything that must go over their head. We want to keep baby has happy as possible right from the
beginning.

What to Bring-

Your session includes full access to my ever-growing collection of custom props & handmade textiles. Blankets,
bonnets, wraps, felted friends, headbands, beds, buckets, baskets, everything needed for your session. Just bring your sweet baby and a
diaper bag (with extra diapers).
If you wish to use an outfit that you have, please consult with me before the session. I will NOT photograph baby in outfits brought
the day of unless we have planned to incorporate it prior to the session.

Safety and Health-
If anyone has ANY signs of illness, I ask you to PLEASE reschedule your session. I work with newborns and have 2 children of my own and
try to keep sickness out of the studio for the safety of my littlest clients and my family. If anyone shows up to the session visibly sick
(snotty/running nose, wet/nasty cough, or they are visibly miserable, etc.) you will be asked to leave, and the session will be forfeited with
no refund. Masks are not required in my studio. Also, please limit attendees to only people involved in the session or two adults. Hand
washing and hand sanitizing will be done by me, as much as possible. I will have hand sanitizer available for client use in my studio. All
props (benches, blankets, all newborn props, etc.) will be sanitized before each session.
